These large animals can live about 25 years. This species of bears is thought to be the largest one among the other species. Males are 8 to 11 feet long and weigh 500 to 1500 pounds. Females are smaller, they are 6 to 8 feet long and their weigh ranges from 330 to 550 pounds. According to alaskan polar bear conservation regulations, babies of this species cannot be hunted on.
